Happy January, everyone! There are lots of big changes in the world of online data storage for 2007, and lots of changes for all of us here at Symagio. First, and most importantly, we’ve drastically changed our prices.

We spent a lot of time over the holidays optimizing our equipment, our software, and our process for data backup. We’re more confident in it than ever. We wanted to celebrate by passing this onto you, our great clients, in the form of new, lower prices.

We’ll be charging a new, flat fee for all of our clients: we’ll license each computer and server you want to use for the low price of $19.95 a month, and then we simply charge based upon the amount of data you backup. It’s $5 a gig per month. Unlimited restores, and unlimited uploads. It’s easy - if the amount of data you want to back up is larger than your bandwidth can support, we’ll simply FedEx you our external hardware, you load it up and send it back to us. Then you have ALL of your data protected off-site, constantly updated, and available when you need it. It’s a process that is hard to beat.

We do FedEx’d restores on demand, so your downtime in the event of a data failure is minimal. Ultimately, that is what it is all about: protecting your data, no matter the size. Online, disk-to-disk based technology is the most effective and timely way to do this.

We’ve also settled into our new offices in Tribeca. We’re big fans of being in this neighborhood. It’s much more convenient than our old place on Park Avenue, quieter, and will allow us to more effectively manage our growth.
